Our Top Digital Camera Picks!  Canon Powershot SX110 IS- 9 MP (Or SX120 IS -10MP) "Pocket" Digital camera I would buy if was buying a new "Pocket Size" camera Today (Actually now would probably buy the very similar newer Model SX120IS below) -- Both have 10x built in optically stabliized zoom + good video capability & Good Amazon User Reviews! + are smaller "Pants Pocket" or "Small Purse" sized! (But, if don't mind a larger camera, check out the SX30IS with 35x Zoom to the right!) Both the SX110 IS & the SX120IS below have Image Stabilization & Face Detection Technology + ability to take 640 Pixels wide 30 fps videos. (Not HD) SX110IS & SX120IS have a less low-light optical image stabilized lens (f/2.8) than the f/2.0 aperture lens in the SD4000 IS Canon in the right column -- The SX110IS & SX120IS will take good no-flash pictures in many indoor light conditions, just not in as low light as can do with the SD4000 IS Canon to the far right for a slightly higher price Both of these well reviewed cameras are a great value for the features -- and will fit in your pants pocket or a small purse if "portability" is important to you. ~~~~~~~~ The newer Canon Powershot SX120 IS 10MP Model below (With f/2.8 lens) is now available. It gets similar Canon Camera Reviews & Amazon User Ratings to the the older SX110 IS Model above. The even newer SX130 IS Model is very similar to the SX120 except it has a "more light needed" f/3.4 lens for poor low light shooting as compared to the SX110 & SX120 so we would not recommend the SX130 IS. |

(This new SX30IS Model Oct 2010 replaces the prior SX20IS which had a 20x zoom) 35x Image Stabilized Optical zoom built in means you will need to carry this thicker larger sized Canon camera strapped around your neck Vs in your pocket -- but imagine the versitility of a 35x built in zoom + a F2.7 Lens in the same camera! (The more I think about it -- this is my next Digital Camera!!!) Canon Powershot SX30 IS-14 MP Full featured Powershot Digital - 35x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom is one of many features. Has a a f/2.7 Lens so will do fairly well on no-flash pictures in low light conditions (but not as good as a f/2.0 lens like the SD4000 to the right.) + It will take HD Videos and gets very good Digital Canon Camera Reviews by Users!

Only 3.8x built in zoom, but the Canon PowerShot SD4000 IS Digital Camera with a optical image stabilized F/2.0 aperture Lens will take great pictures with no flash in low light conditions! + It is very compact and will take 720 Pixels wide HD Videos! ~~~~~~~~~ The SD1400 IS below is similar to SD4000 above, but with 4x Zoom and a slightly less low-light optical image stabalized lens (f/2.8) than the f/2.0 in the SD4000, so it is less expensive -- It will take no-flash pictures in many indoor light conditions, just not in as low light as can do with SD4000 IS above The SD1400 IS is very compact and will also take HD Videos + gets good Canon Camera Reviews by Users at Amazon! |
