This Tip can often get you BIG discounts on Vacation Condo Rentals so we are putting it on both this "Discount Travels for Ages 50+" page and our "Discounted Travels for all Ages" page.
You do NOT have to be a timeshare owner to take advantage of these often discounted vacation timeshare condo rentals! These are often "unused" weeks that the individual Resort Time Share Owners have decided not to use that year and placed for rent at discounted (sometimes even "cheap") rates by the Timeshare Resort Management Company. (see links below)
These Timeshare Resort Condo rentals are available for Vacation Rentals by the week and in many cases by the day where the resort runs a Hotel type operation. Most often rentals are available down to 3 or 5-day periods within the Resorts usually Sat to Sat Timeshare "week." (Some also have other "week" periods - ask.)
The largest discounts will be when you rent more days. You will usually get the "cheapest" Vacation Condo Rental Deals on week rentals within the Resorts Time Share "week" -- usually Sat to Sat but some Resorts have other check-in "week" periods - even at the same resort. Resorts and individual Owners vary widely on their policies so you usually have to check out the Timeshare Resort's Web Site or call to find out their rental policies.
Sometimes you can get some VERY affordable -- even "cheap" vacation condo rental discounts going this route that many Vacationers are not aware of. (See individual area rental Info links below)

Avis, Hertz, & National. AARP Senior car rental discounts run up to 30%. We have found AARP car rental discounts are usually larger than discounts via AAA or RCI. Watch for coupons in their members magazine for more senior citizen travels options.
Many Resorts, B & B's, motels and larger Attractions offer a discount to AARP Members -- but it usually is not advertised and you've got to ASK!!!!

Tip: Good buy - Senior Lifetime Naturally Yours Passport Plus pass, $100 - good for lifetime. It is available only to those 62 and older. (Normal price for this lifetime pass for under age 62 individuals is $275 - are some benefits for Senior Citizen travels. )
Senior Naturally Yours Passport Plus one year pass - $30. Parking and admission to all parks and Plus Package amenities. (Naturally Yours Passport Plus cost for under age 62 is $55 annually.)
